Can I interrupt an online test or take a break?
  • You cannot interrupt an online test once you have started it. In most cases the individual tests take a maximum of 15 minutes. Please ensure that you are not interrupted during this time.
  • For some positions, several online tests are required. However you need not take them all at the same time. We even suggest that you take breaks in between the tests. Counting from the start of your application you have a total of 10 days to complete all the tests. We do not check how long it took you to complete them all.
How do I best prepare for online tests?
  • Ensure that you are undisturbed when taking an online test and that you also cannot be distracted. The best is to switch off your mobile and other telephones.
  • Complete the tests at the time of day when you feel at your freshest.
How many exercises must I complete to pass?
  • With our online tests we do not want to determine who the best applicant is, but rather we want to find out whether you fulfill the minimum requirements for a certain position. However, since you usually don’t know what the amount of required exercises for a certain position is, you should always try to complete as many as possible.
  • As a rule of thumb, you can expect that for most positions it is sufficient to complete half of the exercises. For most tests the threshold is actually even much lower.

How quickly do I need to work to complete an exercise?
  • Try to solve the exercises quickly but also carefully. However, in order to not increase the margin for oversights, do not work any faster than you were used to at school or university. This could lower your overall results since as a rule false answers are subtracted from the total number of correct answers.
  • The Online Test Training gives you an ideal opportunity to find your own optimal working pace.
What doesn't get tested online?
  • We believe that online tests are not ideal to assess many types of social competence such as friendliness or team-capability. These requirements are assessed by us in interviews, role playing models, and group discussions. In these cases we specifically do not use online tests.
  • We have also completely abandoned online personality tests.
What gets tested online?
  • Depending on the position you are applying for, we will test your capabilities in the areas of reasoning with figures, linguistic thinking, analytical comprehension, and complex thought. This is accompanied by an English test, and a test pertaining to evaluating work situations in customer service areas.
  • In all of our test procedures, we only check what we announce in the title. There are no "catch questions", procedures with "false bottoms", moral dilemmas or other tricks.
  • With our online tests we only test what we feel is absolutely necessary for a certain position. For a Flight Attendant very good English language skills are required. Applicants who only have basic knowledge of the language, will unfortunately not be invited to take part in an on-site interview.
Which tests do I need to complete for my application?
  • Depending on the position to which you are applying, various online tests are part of your application process. They are based on the requirements of the respective positions.
For example the arithmetic test is only required for positions for which a commanding knowledge of numbers is essential. On the other hand, how you would react in various working situations is only important for positions in which customer contact plays a central role.
  • Once you have sent your application data to Lufthansa you will receive a list of tests which you must complete that has been coordinated with your application. Please also note that for some applications, no tests are required at all.
Why do online tests have a time limit?
  • We do not use a time limit to check whether you can deal with stressful situations, but rather for reasons of method. Without a limit all applicants would solve all exercises correctly and would therefore all have the same results. The test would then be pointless.
  • It is absolutely normal that you are unable to complete all the exercises within the given time limit. Generally, online tests are set up so that most applicants complete approximately half of the exercises.
