Lufthansa is one of the most popular employers
Lufthansa is amongst the “Top Employers of 2007/08"
Lufthansa was once again honored as a top employer by the “Business and Engineering Edition”
report of the noted “Absolventenbarometer” (Graduates Barometer).
The study, which is carried out by the Berlin-based consulting institute Trendence,
questioned more than 15,000 students in the fields of business economics and engineering
at 107 German universities with regard to the most attractive employers. The yearly survey
“Absolventenbarometer” (Graduates Barometer) has become the largest study of its type.
With its diligent and transparent evaluation methods, the study is regarded as
a serious indicator for a company’s attractiveness as an employer.
The up-and-coming young executives from the fields of business economics and
engineering once again selected Lufthansa to be amongst the most popular employers.
Lufthansa is of particular appeal to business economics graduates: in their opinion
Lufthansa attained an excellent second place – directly behind the Munich
automobile manufacturer BMW. In the overall ranking, the Lufthansa Group is in
sixth position among business economists, and Lufthansa Technik in seventh
position among engineers.
This means that Lufthansa was able to gain ground with both graduate groups
over the last year and further expanded its employer attractiveness.
Top placing for Lufthansa in the “Pupils Barometer 2007/08”
Lufthansa also earned a top position in the “Pupils Barometer”, the largest and
most extensive survey regarding professional preferences amongst high school,
secondary and comprehensive school pupils. The Berlin-based consulting institute
Trendence investigated amongst more than 8,400 pupils, as to who the most
attractive employers in Germany are.
Overall, the pupils ranked the Lufthansa Group third amongst 110 companies.
This means that Lufthansa is among the absolute favorite candidates as possible future employers.
